FAQ
-
What is Scholar Society? Who runs it?
Scholar Society is a student and alumni led project to unite fellows across cohorts, courses, and universities.
Uniting knowledge communities will unlock more opportunity for all.
-
How is this better than other apps?
Scholar Society is built for the specific needs of scattered knowledge communities.
It provides pre-built spaces, full of connecting features, with a unified back-end and no membership maximum.
This makes it superior, more scalable, and easier to sustain than basic social media groups and chat apps.

How do I join?
We have launched at Oxford and are selectively expanding. Request your invite now to get early access.
If your University or Course are not shown, contact us!
Prioritisation is mainly driven by demand.
-
Who can join?
All matriculated students and alumni of listed courses are welcome to request invitation.
-
How can I help or support?
We are a tiny but mighty team running on a student budget so your support is most welcome!
Whether you want to help others join, moderate, represent us on campus, manage events, help build the tech, or donate to keep the lights on, contact us and we will find a way to get you involved.
-
Is this free?
That’s right! Free.
There is no membership fee.
We run on donations.
-
When will I get my invite?
As soon as fellows from 3 cohorts of the same degree and school request invites we will unlock your network. Help spread the word!
-
How long will this last?
We believe Scholar Society should exist forever, we hope you and your fellows join to help make that possible.
-
Do I get credit for referrals?
Yes! Once your fellows network is unlocked everyone will see the referral leaderboard. Moreover, we will have a Hall of Fame for ‘Founding Fellows’ who were the top catalysts for their networks.
